European Boardgaming Champion 2007

ε < 0, Epsilon smaller than Null (Epsilon kleiner Null) is not only the shortest math joke, but also the name of a team which competes in boardgaming competitions. The core of the team consists of Patrick G. Walch, Christian Ehrhardt, Thomas Kraus, and me. Training and playing with us are mainly Karin Melzer, Uta Ehrhardt, Hans Fröhlich, Michael Reinehr, Jonas Rumpf, and Alexander Hilliger von Thile.
The season starts in February with the regional championships in different states of Germany. In sixteen different cities all over the country, up to twenty teams in each location with four two six players (up to two reserve) try to master the qualification for the German championships in May. This goal is achieved by up to three teams in each qualification. In addition the top four of the previous year are allowed to play. The top four to six teams qualify for the European Championships, which are typically during the Spiel in Essen. The precise number depends on factors such as the country of last year's champion.
Sadly, the team is currently not able to train for the competitions.

The greatest successes of Epsilon kleiner Null are:
